Some weddings simply unfold like a storybook - and Maya and Connor’s destination wedding weekend at The Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake Ozark, Missouri, was exactly that. A breathtaking blend of intimacy and grandeur, their celebration brought together nearly 300 loved ones for a weekend of heartfelt traditions, modern design, and unforgettable experiences on the shimmering shores of the lake.
A Weekend to Remember
The festivities began on Friday evening with a rooftop welcome party overlooking the water. Guests were greeted with sweeping lake views, live music from Adam Powell, and a curated menu of hors d’oeuvres and cocktails - a chic prelude of what was to come. Families mingled, toasts were shared, and laughter set the tone for the celebration the following day.
A Ceremony with a Lakeside View
On Saturday, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation as guests gathered on the Lakeview Patio for the couple’s outdoor ceremony. Every detail was designed to reflect timeless sophistication: rows of white chairs lined the lawn, parasols and champagne awaited each guest, and modern instrumental arrangements by Lost Wax Band created an elegant, emotional soundtrack for the day.
Maya, radiant in her gown, was escorted down the aisle to the stirring notes of Hallelujah. Connor, dressed in a custom tux, couldn’t hide his emotion as he saw his bride for the first time. With vows exchanged in front of the shimmering lake as they stood upon a white, modern stage surrounded by a lush floral meadow, their ceremony was as intimate as it was unforgettable.
A Reception to Dazzle
Following cocktail hour, guests were welcomed into a complete transformation of the Granada Ballroom. (And in true luxury fashion, no one saw the space until the big reveal.) Black linens and ruched chair covers set a dramatic foundation, softened by lush greenery suspended from chandeliers, candlelight cascading from every surface, and modern gold accents that shimmered in the glow.
The King’s Table became a focal point, elegantly styled with florals and candlelight, while guest tables each featured their own miniature wedding cake—thirty in total—each flavor a reflection of the couple’s favorites. From Italian almond to red velvet, the detail was as thoughtful as it was delightful.
The Lost Wax Band kept the energy alive with an eleven-piece ensemble, filling the ballroom with soulful vocals, violin melodies, and an irresistible horn section. As the evening unfolded, special performances by Maya’s siblings added a deeply personal touch: Julien on piano and Ava lending her voice for the couple’s first dance to All of Me.
Tradition, Personal Touches, + Lasting Memories
Maya and Connor’s love story began on a dance floor, and it was only fitting that their wedding ended on one. From a surprise Lebanese Debka that filled the floor with joyful energy to LED wristbands lighting up the night, every moment was designed for connection, joy, and unforgettable memories.
As the evening drew to a close, guests were invited to continue the celebration at the Fire + Ice Bar, cigars in hand, while the couple shared a private final dance to Conversations in the Dark—a moment of stillness to savor the magic of the day.
